The BTS 12 – The Ukrainians Adopted What Shotgun?
It’s recently been revealed that The Ukrainian military has adopted a new shotgun. It is not just any average shotgun but a mediocre Turkish mag-fed bullpup shotgun. They picked the Escort BTS-12. I’ll give James Reeves all the credit for breaking the story in my world. Apparently, a few military and defense-oriented websites had reported […]

FN Rush 9Ti
Two years ago, FN released its first commercially available 9mm titanium suppressor, the FN Rush 9Ti. Although the FN Rush 9Ti is compatible with any 9mm pistol whose barrel has ½ by 28 inch threads, this new suppressor is naturally tailor-made for the FN 509 Tactical Series of pistols as well. For example, not only […]

Heat Colorization on Japanese bayonet?
Do you think this beautiful colorization was done during production or would this have been after it was made?
To me it seems the wood would’ve been affected if it was done after it was made?
This is a very Special Marine veteran bring back from Guadalcanal and I think this was the one he kept as a trophy because of its colorization.
A couple of recently acquired bayonets…
Here are a couple of bayos that came my way recently. The first is a British No.4Mk1 with scabbard and frog. These were manufactured by Singer Sewing Machine at their plant in Scotland. It came with a scabbard and a Canadian marked web frog dated 1941. The second is an Sg.98/05 nA made by Deutsche Maschienenfabrik AG Duisburg. Instead of having the complete legend spelled out in an arch this one bears the name “Demag Duisburg “ in an oval. I think we’re all familiar with their crank handle...

What's everyone's walkabout woods gun?
I'm getting up in years these days so I have to stay mobile. You know the old saying, 'use it or lose it.' So I go for walks in the evenings. I often take my dog on a stroll as well. Sometimes, he's rebellious and refuses to leave the house but I go anyway.
To that end, I sometimes don't always walk near my house because there are several hiking trails not more than 5 or so miles away and I walk on those also. My wife reminds me to take my phone but I reach for my gun first and then the...

Why carry the .357 magnum?
There was a time when RCBS reported their #1 handgun reloading die set was the .357 magnum, for 15 years in a row. I've been handloading this caliber for over 5 decades, and like many other handloaders, prefer their handloads compared to factory offerings. No introduction is needed for those of us who were issued the mag back in the day, it worked and did its job protecting many LEOs who were in perilous need of protection in the shortest time possible.

Problem with Barrel
Hi I was hoping someone with more experience could take a look at this for me. I recently purchased this new 17L (I have wanted a 17L for many years) and when I got home I noticed that there was something wrong with the muzzle. On further inspection it seems that it may be a nick in the finish (I tried wiping it with silicone rag and still was there). I cannot feel any defect with my finger. Is this anything worth worrying about?
Gen5 17L MOS
<div><div class="bbWrapper" itemprop="text">Glock just announced it. Of course, it's a week after I finally broke down and bought a Gen3 last week. I suppose one of these will end up in my possession at some point in the near future.</div></div>
A little help for those patrol cars with crappy lighting.
I've had to drive 3 different former cop cars in my security gig. Every single one had terrible lighting.
So, knowing that Amazon has everything, I took a chance on this usb high intensity lamp. It's amazing how much light it puts out. It's enough light to be able to read a novel with small letters.
I thought you all might be interested.

How much is enough?
<div><div class="bbWrapper" itemprop="text">My fellow Glock Talkers, I have found myself lately buying less firearms and having the desire to move those funds to buying ammo in bulk mostly 9MM & 7.62X39. I got to wondering, how much ammo is enough? I shoot a couple times a month but would like to go more. Would love to get some more opinions from like minded folks. <br>

Not The Bee. Appears I have been fooled by a parody account. But the sad part is that it is too believable
Sweet Saint Policarpo. You are going to argue in front of SCOTUS that the Constitution is unconstitutional?

New Shooter’s Guide: Firearms Storage, How to Protect Your Firearms
Gun Tests Reader Mike F. recently sent us a great note inquiring about long term firearms storage. He wanted to know whether it was safe to store a pistol in a leather holster for a lengthy period of time. Our answer, Sir, is a qualified MAYBE, depending on the metals in the firearm, finish types, local weather conditions, and other considerations. But if you need a quick answer, we’d say not to store your rig in a leather holster. We go into more detail below.
Not so many years ago, it would ha
