I am wanting to standardize on Glock 9mm for my carry and home defense purposes, mainly for the mag compatibility. I have the 19X for home and sometimes carry, but want something just a bit smaller for EDC. I believe my choices are the Glock 26 and the Glock 19. I can get the MOS version for the 19. I can also get the slide milled for a red dot for the 26, at extra expense. What opinions do you guys have on my idea? Which gun is more shootable... Standardizing on Glock 9mm

I'm looking at a svt 40 and need help figuring out exactly what it is. It's an svt 40. stamped 1941. There's a proof mark that appears to be for march of 41. It has a heavy, metal, adustable bi pod. The top hand guard is all metal. All that I can find during research has wood in front of the bolt. This is all metal. The wood stock appears thicker than most i've seen. There is also a metal bracket screwed into the stock just below and in front of bolt. My best description is that it...
I was checking out a S&W Victory pistol and came across something strange. It's the 4" version in .38 Special and all the other markings look like a stand Victory, including a V serial number in the 160,000 range. What's unusual, though, is there is no US Property marking of any kind visible. I've seen the three "standard" variations plus the extra US Navy Property marking -- but this one doesn't have anything. It doesn't look like it would have been ground off, although I suppose anything..

A school bus driver is solely responsible for the safety and well-being of the kiddos on his or her bus. On 99.998% of school days, it’s just another day. Other times it requires thinking outside the box and sometimes even heroic actions. Such is the case of a Milwaukee school bus driver named Imunek Williams. While 6-months pregnant, she pulled over upon smelling smoke. By the time she got the three-dozen plus kids off and ensured the bus was empty, the vehicle was engulfed by flames and smoke.

According to researchers, there's somewhere between 100,000 to 2.5-million defensive gun uses every year. That's a pretty wide range, but it's difficult to determine exactly how many times someone is able to use their firearm in self-defense because in many cases the trigger is never pulled and a police report may not even be filed.

The condition color codes — levels of situational awareness — were conceived by Jeff Cooper decades ago. He opined that much of society perpetually spends their time in Condition White – essentially oblivious to the potential for threat. Some folks (particularly those who have martial arts, firearms, and/or other weapons background) are more likely to operate in Condition Yellow – essentially relaxed, but always mindful of the possibility of a threat materializing.
